Chiara Soffritti holds a degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Ferrara, where she graduated on October 17, 2007, with a thesis titled “Evaluation of the migration of surface elements based on the processing of artifacts produced using MIM technology.” In 2011, she earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from the same university, defending her dissertation “On the tribological behaviour of metal/ceramic and metal/metal couplings.” Since December 1, 2022, she has been serving as a Tenure-Track Researcher at the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara in the field of Metallurgy (Scientific Disciplinary Sector IIND-03/C).

As of May 28, 2022, she is qualified to serve as an Associate Professor for the Academic Recruitment Field 09/A3 - Industrial Design, Mechanical Construction, and Metallurgy, with the qualification valid until May 28, 2033.
