Annalisa Fortini holds a degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Ferrara, where she graduated on December 20, 2010 with a thesis entitled "Restoration of obliterated matrix markings on 40NiCrMo4 steel by chemical etching". Subsequently, she obtained her professional engineering qualification in the second session of 2012 and is registered with the Order of Engineers of the province of Ferrara.

In 2016, she obtained a PhD in Engineering Sciences from the same University, discussing the thesis "Functional characterization of thermally activated shape memory alloys for innovative adaptive structures". Since February 1, 2019, she has held the position of University Researcher in Metallurgy at the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara, in the sector IIND-03/C - Metallurgy.

Since November 9, 2020, she has been qualified as an Associate Professor for the Competitive Sector 09/A3 - Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy, a qualification valid until November 9, 2031.
