Chiara Soffritti holds a degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Ferrara, where she graduated on October 17, 2007, with a thesis titled “Evaluation of the migration of surface elements based on the processing of artifacts produced using MIM technology.” In 2011, she earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from the same university, defending her dissertation “On the tribological behaviour of metal/ceramic and metal/metal couplings.” Subsequently, she obtained her professional engineering qualification in the second session of 2012 and is registered with the Order of Engineers of the Province of Ferrara. Since December 1, 2022, she has been serving as a Tenure-Track Researcher at the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara in the field of Metallurgy (Scientific Disciplinary Sector IIND-03/C).

As of May 28, 2022, she is qualified to serve as an Associate Professor for the Academic Recruitment Field 09/A3 - Industrial Design, Mechanical Construction, and Metallurgy, with the qualification valid until May 28, 2033.
