Davide Maghini has been a member of the Metallurgy Research Group since May 2024. During his university studies, he conducted both his bachelor's and master's theses in the field of materials science. For his bachelor's degree, he analyzed the causes of failure in microalloyed steel bolts, while for his master's thesis, he studied the fatigue behaviour of an aluminium alloy through in-situ and FIB testing. Graduating in March 2024 with the highest honours (110/110 cum laude), he worked as a research scholar from May to October of the same year.
Since November 2024, he has been a PhD student in Engineering Sciences and is working on the development of numerical models to predict the process parameters and mechanical and metallurgical characteristics of products obtained through hot plastic deformation, with particular attention to the ring rolling processes.
